Staff Transitions at Stone Bridge Iron and SteelNovember 4, 2005
Marcia Greene has announced her plans to retire from Stone Bridge Iron and Steel, Inc. effective November 4, 2005. Marcia has served as Purchasing Agent since 1988. Brian Carmer, President of Stone Bridge Iron and Steel stated, Marcia has been instrumental in our growth, on behalf of our customers and entire organization, we wish to thank Marcia for her service and dedication over the past 18 years and wish her happiness in her retirement . James Morris will assume the position of Purchasing Agent effective November 14, 2005. Jim holds an AAS/Business Administration degree, is a member of NAPM/National Association of Purchasing Management, and joins Stone Bridge from Tougher Industries, Inc. bringing over 18 years of purchasing experience. Brian Carmer stated, Bringing Jim's experience to our organization will allow Stone Bridge Iron and Steel to continue to grow our industry presence, as a leader who provides a wide range of professional expertise that emphasizes our ability to adapt to virtually any project, large or small. Stone Bridges expertise and computerized equipment allows us to excel in schedule driven, highly complex, difficult, and extremely fast-track construction projects. Ronald Carmer originally founded Stone Bridge Iron & Steel in 1973. Today Stone Bridge Iron & Steel, Inc. serves a geographic area that now covers all of New York State, New England and beyond. The main facility operates from a 45,000 square foot building that houses 12 overhead bridge cranes, with a 80x330 twin 10-ton bridge crane to feed material to the saw and CNC drill/coping machine, at 426 Purinton Road in Gansevoort, NY. Currently over 60 people are employed and sales are well in excess of 15 million dollars per year. Stone Bridge Iron & Steel, Inc. is a member of the American Institute of Steel Construction, and an AISC Certified Fabricator. |
